Trevor Hughes (Vice President)
Trevor found climbing in 2022 and quickly dove headfirst into the adventure, with a love for trad and aid climbing that keeps him outside most weekends. He enjoys the problem-solving, patience, and teamwork that come with building anchors, managing gear, and figuring out new routes. For him, climbing is less about chasing numbers and more about creating lasting experiences and sharing the outdoors with others.
As Vice President of Climbing for the Community, Trevor helps keep the organization running smoothly behind the scenes, using his IT background to manage systems, logistics, and all the little details that make big events possible. Whether he’s organizing community programs or racking up for a climb, he’s passionate about lowering barriers to entry and helping others feel welcome in the sport.
Linn Splane (Design)
Linn first encountered climbing while surveying cave sites on an archaeological dig. After returning from her adventures in the field, she rediscovered it at her neighborhood climbing gym where it became a shared passion for both her and her partner. She loves top roping, supporting her practice with yoga, and San Diego’s wonderful community of climbers.
Linn works in the nonprofit sector, where her background in fieldwork and marketing help her connect people with meaningful causes and experiences. When she isn’t working or climbing, Linn can be found baking bread, thrifting, enjoying films and comedy, and re-re-redecorating her apartment.
Nathan Haney (Treasurer)
Nathan is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast, born and raised surfing and hiking in San Diego. He discovered his passion for climbing while studying Accounting and Sustainability at San Diego State University. Through climbing, Nathan found his community and closest friends and is passionate about ensuring outdoor opportunities and access for everyone.
When not working toward his CPA certification, Nathan is out chasing wide cracks and new adventures across the Southwestern U.S. In his downtime, he enjoys reading, baking, swimming, and gardening.
